Star Trek Legacy: The Narada

It’s finally here! This is a port of Baz1701′s Narada. I won’t release it yet, because, it often causes access violation errors whenever I go to impulse, and I don’t know why. The Narada was a mining vessel in service of the Romulan Star Empire in 2387. It was commanded by Nero; his second-in-command was Ayel. It was flung back in time to 2233, creating an alternate reality by destroying the USS Kelvin, and there it crippled the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire by destroying the planet Vulcan, several Starfleet ships and 47 Klingon warbirds. Disclaimer: All the things featured in this video belong to their respective owners. This is for entertaining purposes only. –Extra Credits– – The NG|Mods Team for the Alternate Reality Constitution Class – WileyCoyote for The Newton, Kelvin, KelvinPrise, Mayflower and Armstrong types, and the Constitution Class – Baz1701 for the Narada. – Yopyop for the STXI Weapons – All ships except the Kelvin and Alternate Reality Constitution were ported by me.

Classic Chevrolet Cars

There are few material things in life that are as priceless as an American classic car, specifically, the Chevrolet.

Invented in the early 1900s, the original Chevrolets — whose namesake, Louis Chevrolet was actually a race car driver for the Buick brand — were envisioned as being manufactured for the wealthy, this is evidenced by the introduction of the “Classic Six”, one of Chevrolet’s earliest models that also had a whopping price tag of over $2000 — a significant price for that day and age, and one very few people could actually afford.

It was also because of this difference in the idea for the vision of the company that the partnership of Louis Chevrolet and William Durant — the founder of General Motors and the one who hired Mr. Chevrolet to drive the Buick vehicles in promotional races — went their separate ways. This bit of history is often included in the story told by those selling classic cars, as it helps illustrate the richness and uniqueness of the Chevrolet brand.

As the years progressed, Mr. Durant continued to compete with Ford and Dodge by introducing automobiles with advancements in engine and body innovation and creativity that ultimately laid the groundwork for the Chevrolet models to surge in popularity.

For instance, the Chevrolet Corvette; arguably one of the most sought after for those buying and selling classic cars. Introduced in 1953, this car has been a mainstay in the antique automobile industry — and is also still in production today — and with such inventive ideas as using fiberglass for the body to make the car faster and more aerodynamic, it is the end all, be all in the classic car market. Few cars hold this distinction: the Ford Mustang is one, and the Chevrolet Camaro is also one.

It is no surprise that Chevrolet is the top car to typically be found in the classic car circles; given the engineering masterpieces that were the engines, which is actually the same kind — the Chevrolet small block V-8, today as was introduced so many decades ago — and the beauty and craftsmanship of the car body itself.

Also, because Chevrolet is still built with the same passion from yesteryear, it is likely to continue to be among the top car for those buying and selling classic cars for many years to come.

Star Wars Lego Series

The founder of Legos, Ole Kirk Christiansen, began making toys for kids after his shop for woodworking was lost during the Great Depression. He fashioned wooden toys, such as yo-yos, for children for years. In 1947 saw the development of his first Automatic Binding Bricks. Nonetheless, these wooden bricks did not become the all-around building blocks we have come to love until 1953.

1966 saw the creation of the first Lego system; the Lego Train set, which included the materials needed to build a train with a working motor. This Lego train set has been so popular that it is still being revised and sold today. Over the years the Lego Company has created numerous other sets including towns, boats, cars, etc. What’s more, many of these sets can be joined together to create the ultimate Lego set.

As the years went by and the imaginations of children expanded, the Lego Company has been expanding right along with them. You can purchase Lego sets today to build Egyptian pyramids, pirate ships, space ships and castles. Virtually anything your little one’s imagination can dream, you can find a Lego set to make that dream a reality. They have expanded so much that you can even find Lego sets to build different types of sports items, comic book heroes or cartoon characters. Imagine the joy on your child’s face when they build their very own Sponge Bob or Spider Man character!

However, the Legos Star Wars set is probably one of the most admired Lego themes available. Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Star Fighter, in which he defeats the Death Star, was the first Star Wars Lego set available around 1999. Since then, numerous other Lego sets have become available based upon the original three Star Wars movies, and most recently Lego sets are available that are derived from the prequels. Legos had also offered the Ultimate Collector’s Series in a limited edition, which included pieces from both trilogies. For the die hard Star Wars fan, there are also three video games available that integrate all of the Star Wars tales.

Imagine the joy it would bring to your Star Wars fan when he receives the gift of a Lego X-Wing Star Fighter set. He’ll be able to recapture the excitement of the conflict between the Evil Empire and the Rebel Alliance. This versatile set includes everything you need to modify the fighter to be that of Wedge Antilles’ Red Three snub fighter or Luke Skywalker’s Red Five. All of your favorite characters are included as well including; Luke Skywalker, Wedge Antilles, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca and R2-D2. This traditional Star Wars Lego set has everything you will need to overcome the Empire and be the ultimate hero!

Star Trek Online Ship Comparison – Light Cruiser Vs B’Rel

In Star Trek Online players start with one of four different ships. Klingon players always start with the B’Rel Bird of Prey class ship. Federation players on the other hand get a random Light Cruiser ship: Miranda, Centaur or Soyuz.

First, let’s talk about Federation ships. Each of the three light cruisers have identical stats. The only differences are in appearance, which can also be customized. Regardless of your class choice you can get any ship and customize it both visually and functionally however you like. Well, almost. Light cruiser, being a basic ship, has limited upgrade capability. For weapons you have only two forward slots available, and one rear weapon slot. You will start with two phazer arrays (one aft, one rear), but it is recommended to put a turret type weapon into the rear slot as soon as possible since they can fire in all directions. Light cruiser ships also have only three slots for your Bridge Officers: one for Tactical, one for Engineering and one for Science. That makes this ship very limited and I recommend you try and level up to grade 11 as soon as possible since you get to pick a new ship then.

Klingons on the other hand get only one ship, B’Rel. It’s a Bird of Prey, a very well-known type of ship from Star Trek TV series and movies. Much like its Federation counterpart B’Rel is also a ship with limited upgrade options. It does indeed pack more firepower but instead has weaker hull. The shield strength is the same between B’Rel and Light Cruiser. The most prominent difference is a much better maneuverability found in Klingon B’Rel, which enables you to almost always have your aft weapons faced at your opponents rear. By continuously firing at your enemies rear shield you will quickly burn them and be able to fire torpedoes on the exposed hull which can quickly dispose of any enemy. Since your rear side will almost never face your opponent it’s wise to equip a turret in that weapon slot since, as we already established, it can fire in a 360 degree arc. One other significant difference between the light cruiser and Klingon B’Rel ship is that B’Rel has a cloak which allows you to remain unseen until you begin firing. By using the cloak you can easily sneak behind your opponent and hit him before he even realizes what’s going on.

No matter which side you choose, both have ships of almost equal strength each with their own pros and cons. The biggest difference and the most important factor in Player vs. Player battles is the Captain — you. PvP requires not only a different set of ship equipment and Bridge Officers, but also a different set of player skills. Klingon players are typically more inclined to PvP and their core gameplay even revolves around it meaning they have a lot more experience in it than Federation players. Federation players in most cases don’t win such battles exactly because of their lack of experience. As you can see, the ship stats are nearly identical and which one is better boils down to player skills, both in game and real life skills.

Starcraft II Mothership Strategy – Succeed in SC2

The mothership is one of the most interesting Protoss. When you build it, you are going to be rather impressed with the sheer size of it, just by looking at it you know it can do some serious damage to your opponent and some serious help to you!

So how exactly do you harness the power of the mother ship and make it work for you? Well we are going to give you a mini-guide right here so that you can know all the mothership capabilities. How you use that case by case is through experience, but one thing you can learn is the abilities of it!

Mothership Strategy Guide

The thing about motherships is that they are very unique and you are only going to be able to control one at a time, and it is treated as a very powerful support unit with incredible defenses.

It’s probably the most versatile Protoss unit because it gives you the ability to help behind the lines, but to also lay siege on the battlefront as well!

Mothership Abilities

The mothership can actually passively cloak any nearby units or structures. So if you have some units running with the mothership, they will not be detected, and it’s a natural thing, you do not have to activate this ability or anything!

Mass Recall – this gives the mothership ability to recall units instantly from one place to another, so if you have a group of units that are getting owned by your opponent, you can simply do mass recall and your units will be right there on your base, or wherever your mother ship is.

Vortex – Vortex is a very interesting ability because it creates a wonderful vortex for your units and it will remove ground and air units from the battle, any units that are in their, both friendly or enemy will be sucked into the vortex.

The mothership also has the plasma shields, air weapons upgrade which can be researched at the cybernetics core which can give your air units upgraded damage ability and even air armor, which you probably guessed right, gives your air units higher defense and armor.

This is my ship, the Halifax. I don’t fly it that often anymore but I decided to upload a video of me trying to fly her with fraps on (it is really laggy). Not the greatest ship but quite fun to fly this Royal Bucket from time to time.

Star Trek Online Ship Customization

Star Trek Online or popularly known as STO is the first in series of massively multiplayer role-playing game (MMORPG) by the Star Trek franchise. Released in 2010, one of the important characteristic of the game is its extensive freedom to the players to customize many of the features of the game. Ships are an integral part of the game and a player can extensively customize his/her ship. Such customizations could either be cosmetic to enhance the look of the ship or they could be functional which would increase the stealth and lethal capabilities of the ship. The customization of the ship has to be necessarily done at the shipyards. These shipyards are available for both the Federation and the Klingon Empire and are located at the major hubs. Qo’nos and the Earth Space dock usually serve as the places for customization for the Klingon Empire and the Federation respectively. Every new ship acquired by a player lets him/her edit the features without any cost. However, additional customization would depend on the changes being made and may require Energy Credits or Starfleet Merit.

Among others, the available customizations for ships include Model, Design and Naming. There are six different ship models and need to be chosen from Saucer, Hull, Nacelles, Pylons, Secondary Array and Mission Pod. However, the last two models are restricted to the Science Tier 5 only. The design customization of the ship include the decals, windows, decal color and plating color whereas under the naming customization, the player can customize the Ship name, Registry number, Registry prefix as well as Registry Suffix. However, the feature to change the registry prefix is currently limited to special digital editions of the game. The registry can be changed from NCC to NX and vice versa in these special editions. In addition to all these customizations, there is also a possibility for the customization of the bridge design and its layout.

In addition to choosing from Escort, Cruiser, Science or other categories, the player is also allowed to customize the functionality of his/her ship. These include Fore weapons, to fire weapons from the front of the ship, Ship Deflector Dishes, Ship Shields, the number of Impulse engines, Aft weapons to fire from the rear of the ship, and other consoles like Engineering, Science and other Tactical consoles. In addition to these, the player can also customize the weapons in terms of the individual type of Torpedo, Mine and Energy Weapon. Usually, a diverse portfolio of weaponry is suggested with each weapon being used tactfully. For example the extent of damage a torpedo can drastically vary according to the capability of the enemy ship.

Ship Customization is one of the favorite topics of many players and there have been a plethora of suggestions on how to make the customization process and interface more user-friendly and efficient. Quite a few videos showing the customization of the ships can be found at major video hosting sites and are an ideal solution for new players to learn the intricacies of ship customization. However, certain sections of the gaming community have opined that an excessive customization leads to loss of interest in the real game and hence excessive customization needs to be avoided.
